Meet Scott Crowley

Why Choose Scott?

Scott has always placed tremendous value on the role of mediation for resolving disputes, and this served as a call to action to become a mediator in Georgia.  Scott has overseen an incredibly wide variety of litigation including catastrophic injuries, medical malpractice, general liability, automobile accidents, cyber-attacks, sexual assault cases, premises liability, employment claims, and contractual disputes.  The combination of serving as a plaintiff’s attorney, defense counsel, and the “adjuster” for hundreds of disputes makes Scott unique as a mediator because he can relate to each of the unique parties at the table.  Scott’s extensive experience allows him to understand complex claims including those with thorny legal issues.  Scott is a skilled listener whose energy and passion for mediation resonate clearly during any dispute.

Scott’s Legal Background

Scott began his legal career in Waycross, Georgia as a litigator representing plaintiffs, defendants, and insurance companies.  While defending medical malpractice cases for the local health system, Scott was asked to become general counsel and later became general counsel for Columbus Regional Health (now part of Piedmont).  Scott is currently the Director of Enterprise Risk Management at Northeast Georgia Health System which includes a Level One trauma center, five hospitals, three nursing homes, and hundreds of employed providers.

Getting to Know Scott

Two decades after law school, Scott returned to the academic world and received a Ph.D. in philosophy.  Scott is a  life coach with an emphasis on helping overwhelmed professionals find balance.  Scott is a wellness enthusiast  who enjoys working out and hiking.  You may also find Scott earnestly talking about Pilates, since he is now a Pilates instructor who believes Pilates is unique in helping our bodies function at their highest level.  Scott shares his book-filled home in Dawsonville with his lovely wife with whom he raised three wonderful children.
